Premium paid selfie credits#

From the selfie gallery or the photo selfie, video selfie, group selfie, or auto-selfie screens, you can choose to purchase additional selfie credits. These function as a more premium variant of normal selfie credits: photo selfies made with paid credits don't add to the queue penalty for repeated selfie requests (video selfies made with paid credits add less), though any queue delay you've already built up still applies. Paid selfie credits can also be used to make video selfies at discounted rates (see in app).

If a user has both standard selfie credits and paid selfie credits, standard credits will be used up first (except for video selfies, where you can choose).

Paid selfie credits come in packs of 50 or 100.

Kindroid & groupchat slots#

From the Kins list on the Chat tab, tap the info icon next to your slot count (for example, 8/10) to purchase additional slots. Purchasing more Kindroid slots also provides more groupchat slots, so buying 4 Kindroid slots gives you 8 more groupchat slots as well at a rate of 2 group slots per 1 Kindroid slot. Each Kindroid slot also gives you 2 custom voice slots. If you unsubscribe, you will keep all your existing Kindroids, but you will not be able to create new Kindroids beyond the free limit of 2, or create or use groupchats, even if you've already paid for the slots. You would need to resubscribe to create more if you have available slots.

These slots are a one-time purchase and will be permanently unlocked. They come in packs of 1 Kindroid & 2 groupchat slots, or 4 Kindroid & 8 groupchat slots.

Voice credits#

From the Voice tab in your Kindroid's settings, tap View more on the audio credits card to buy more audio credits when you run low. These are offered at breakeven (no profit to us), so you're simply paying for usage. Paid credits are only used after all complimentary credits are used up.

Cost by voice model: V2 uses 1 audio credit per character. V3 and V3 Fast use 1.5× that, and V4 and V4 Fast use 1.75×. V3 and V4 models may also add expressive tags to the text before it's spoken, and those tags count as characters too. New Kindroids start on V4 Fast, so they use credits at the 1.75× rate unless you switch. Existing Kindroids keep the model they already have. You can check or change it under Voice > Voice Model in your Kindroid's settings.

Audio credits come in packs of 500,000. On V2, that's 500,000 characters, or roughly 500 minutes (8 hrs 20 min) of speech. Because newer models use more credits per character, the same pack covers about 333 minutes on V3 or V3 Fast and about 286 minutes on V4 or V4 Fast. These are rough estimates, since the actual length depends on the messages.

Buying credits and slots#

Note: You'll see the exact price for your country and platform at checkout. Buying on the web is usually cheaper than through the App Store or Google Play. Only unused paid credits will carry over to the next month. Refunds are not available for In-app purchases.

Paying on the web from the app: If your App Store or Google Play account is set to the US, buying selfie credits, Kindroid slots, or audio credits in the iOS or Android app may open a How would you like to pay? sheet. Pick Pay direct on web to open secure checkout in your browser at web prices, or Pay with App Store / Pay with Google Play to pay through the store. When the web price is noticeably lower, the sheet shows roughly how much you save. If you pay on the web, you're brought back to the app when you're done.

Subscription required: You need an active subscription (or free trial) to buy selfie credits, Kindroid slots, or audio credits. If you unsubscribe, any paid credits you haven't used stay on your account, but they can only be used again once you resubscribe.
